Embarrassment sentence

The Loser's Trophy

Severity

Time required
full year

The loser takes custody of a hideous last-place trophy, a toilet bowl, a dumpster fire, a skunk engraved with 'You Stink', and must display it prominently at home or on their desk until someone else earns it. The uglier and harder to explain to guests, the better. Some leagues engrave each year's loser on the base to build a permanent wall of shame.

The long haul: this is not a one-afternoon sentence. With a time commitment of full year, the punishment keeps paying out (for everyone else) long after the season ends. Long sentences need a written end date and a league-appointed enforcer who checks compliance.
