Public shame, costumes, and trophies nobody wants

Embarrassment punishments

Embarrassment punishments are the backbone of the genre. The loser is not hurt, not broke, and not out a weekend. They are simply, unmistakably humiliated: a costume at the grocery store, a sign at a busy intersection, a trophy on their desk that demands an explanation.

These work in every league because the currency is the same everywhere: pride. If your league is new, start here. If your league is old, you already know that the guy who wore the sandwich board in 2019 still hears about it.

Ranked from most severe to mildest. Entries marked "not family-safe" are flagged so work leagues can steer clear.
