The nuclear option: a real, permanent tattoo, design chosen by the winner or the league, size and placement capped in writing beforehand (one inch square is a common ceiling). Some leagues soften it to henna or a large temporary tattoo worn publicly for a week. Once a league goes permanent, nobody misses a waiver deadline again.

Severity 5 means consequences that outlive the season. Do not run this without written, sober, unanimous consent collected before the draft, plus a re-confirmation from the loser before execution. Our constitution page has the clause.
The long haul: this is not a one-afternoon sentence. With a time commitment of one day, permanent result, the punishment keeps paying out (for everyone else) long after the season ends. Long sentences need a written end date and a league-appointed enforcer who checks compliance.
